"As the former Director of Selective Service for President George W. Bush I am intimately familiar with the difficulty our wounded troops experience in their attempt to recover from their injuries and resume a productive civilian life. While the Department of Veterans Affairs attempts to provide the treatments necessary to heal these troops, they are not always successful. Unfortunately, bureaucratic delays in funding clinical trials, politics, and economics often result in these men and women not receiving the medical care that would most certainly lead to t heir recovery. For years, Dr. Allan Spiegel has taken it upon himself to provide Hyperbaric treatments to these deserving heroes at no charge. Thankfully, many of these brave warriors were able to return to a productive life under Dr. Spiegel's care. It comes as no surprise to me that he is now encouraging other medical providers to do the same through Healing Heroes Network. That is why I have lent my assistance to Dr. Spiegel and Healing Heroes Network and am asking others to do the same."
